Bahrain Becomes Second Country To Approve Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccine

The Kingdom of Bahrain announced that it has approved the emergency use of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine on Friday. With this move, Bahrain has become the second country after the United Kingdom to approve the vaccine.
"The approval of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine will add a further important layer to the kingdom's national COVID-19 response", said Mariam al-Jalahma, CEO of the National Health Regulatory Authority.
The United Kingdom plans to start rolling out the vaccine next week. British health officials insisted its approval of the vaccine met all the required safety standards after some American and European health officials suspected the rapid process.
