Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Friday supported free speech but added that it was "not without limits" and should not "arbitrarily and needlessly hurt certain communities". "We will always defend freedom of expression", Trudeau said in response to a question.

Trudeau also condemned the "awful and appalling" attacks in France. The Parliament of Canada observed a moment of silence on Thursday in honor of the three people killed in the terrorist attack in Nice, France.

Meanwhile, in France, a third man has been arrested for questioning in connection with the terrorist attack. The man was present during a police search on Friday at the home of the second man suspected of having been in contact with the attacker.
