South Korea & China Vow To Work On North Korea

File Photo: North Korea.

The external affairs ministers of South Korea and China met on Thursday and pledged to work together to advance bilateral ties and tackle regional and global issues including the nuclear talks with North Korea. Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi said that this visit was to enhance bilateral ties between the two "strategic partners".

South Korea is locked in a power tussle between the United States and China. Moreover, this visit is unlikely to bring any significant change in the geopolitics of the Indo-Pacific region as no major concrete decisions have been taken. China is also likely to continue to support the brutal North Korean regime despite its pledges to "work together".
