India's Interior Minister Amit Shah Tests Positive For Coronavirus
India's Interior Minister Amit Shah tweeted on Sunday afternoon that he had tested positive for coronavirus, adding that he is "fine" but getting hospitalized as advised by doctors. “On getting the initial symptoms of coronavirus, I got the test done and the report came back positive. My health is fine, but I am being admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors.”, tweeted Shah. He is currently the most senior politician in the country to test positive for the deadly disease. Shah is a close aide of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and heads a ministry that has been at the forefront of managing the epidemic. India is the third-worst affected country in the world after the United States and Brazil. India's coronavirus epidemic is also growing at the fastest rate in the world according to Bloomberg’s Coronavirus Tracker.
