Japan Preparing To Send Military Nurses To Areas Hit Hard By COVID-19
The Japanese government is planning to send nurses from the armed forces to Osaka and Hokkaido to help treat a surge in COVID-19 infections, said chief government spokesman Katsunobu Kato on Monday. Japanese news agency Kyodo News reported that the Hokkaido prefecture is planning to ask the government to send Self-Defence Force nurses as COVID-19 cases in Hokkaido cross the 10,000 mark for the first time.
