U.S. Identifies 'Mystery Seeds' From China

A series of packages containing seeds propped up across the United States recently. The packages came from China via China Post. They were marked as jewelry and other consumer goods. This sparked suspicions of China waging an eco-war against the United States. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has identified many of the mysterious seeds as Tomato seeds and Rhus seeds. Rhus is a common species of shrub found across North America. However, to ensure the safety imbued in the seeds, the USDA has announced that they are being sent to the National Identification Services lab in Beltsville for more testing. More testing will determine whether the seeds are laden with any pests or diseases of potential concern to US agriculture.
