War Over TikTok Worsens

China’s state-run media has struck back in the war over TikTok, calling U.S. demands for the sale of the social media app’s American operations to Microsoft as “theft” and suggesting that Beijing may block the transaction. The editorial was published on Monday by the China Daily newspaper. “China will by no means accept the ‘theft’ of a Chinese technology company, and it has plenty of ways to respond if the administration carries out its planned smash and grab”, the editorial said. I feel that China, a country that is known to steal information, calling the United States a "thief" is quite hypocritical.
